Strikethrough’s inaugural exhibition will take place at The Trafalgar hotel.
Offering a fresh outlook on the possibilities of contemporary photography, the exhibition encompasses a rich mix of techniques and styles, combining traditional and innovative ways of reinterpreting the photographic image through montage, mixed media and new media.

The show deals with a breadth of compelling topics and ideas: the dichotomy between public and private spaces, movement, the fairy-tale and the fantastic, changes in the landscape and in urban communities, the exploration of space through graphic representation, and notions of absence and presence.

From Paul Greenleaf’s large-format crisp landscapes of revisited English resorts, to Pierre d’Alancaisez’s exploration of narrative possibilities using TV screen processes, and Hester Jones’ whimsical exploration of childhood imagination, the show displays a compelling mix of traditional documentary photography, constructed narratives, abstract explorations of forms, light and colours.
